Job Summary

iKey, the leader in rugged keyboards, monitors and accessories is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Salesperson.

We are looking for an experienced, money motivated, business-to-business outside business development and channel salesperson who has demonstrated the ability to identify, evaluate and develop new business opportunities in order to expand business and increase profitability AND handle our channel sales. He/she must have excellent sales skills, work ethic, time management skills, attention to detail and the desire to travel extensively. The successful candidate should not need sales training.

Naturally, this is a full-time position with benefits which include Medical, matching 401-K, and paid PTO, and others. Currently no cap on commissions. In office position unless traveling for sales.

Responsibility

  • Handle significant channel sales
  • Retaining and expanding existing company relationships, product lines, and market segments
  • Identify, develop, and close business with new customers
  • Soliciting new business from existing and prospective customers
  • Significant travel visiting prospective and existing customers and trade shows and channel partners to expand existing customer base
  • Developing and implementing strategic tactical sales plans for growing new business and expanding current business
  • Overseeing development and research activities to build on company strengths
  • Identifying potential new markets and business opportunities, increase market share, and strengthening company’s competitive position within the industry
  • Working with other sales and marketing employees to enhance technical visibility and company image within all accounts
  • Keeping abreast of market needs and sales
  • Prospecting via phone and cold calling
  • Providing reports to management on activities, forecasts, sales and projects accurately and on time
  • Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of competitive products
  • Identifying opportunities and developing these prospects
  • Maintaining and updating Salesforce, including data entry, follow-up and lead tracking
  • Maintaining a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of iKey’s products, customer’s applications and competitive product differences
  • Build strong alliances with OEM, Channel and Integration partners within the operating territory or vertical
  • Effectively position and present iKey’s portfolio of value added offerings
  • Provide customer quotes, ROI, proposals and product information based on specific use case and business value
  • Excited to work with customers in all of our verticals including law enforcement and military

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills strong presentation skills
  • Self-starter with excellent time management, planning, and organization
  • Experience in a dedicated customer service and/or sales focused environment
  • Goal-oriented team player and a self-starter who is highly motivated to succeed
  • Proven track record of success in closing quotes and large deals.
  • Track record of performing to or exceeding quotas
  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
  • Customer first attitude with ability to manage different personality types
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and strong Salesforce ability
  • Committed to continuous sales education through study workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Minimum of 3 years successful outside business development sales experience and channel sales experience, with a documented history of new business development
  • Candidates with background selling for a manufacturing company or selling hardware or a product are preferred
